All players who wish to register with Balbriggan F.C are required to be registered with the FAI and the league in order to play competitive matches. The documents that are required depends on the category of the player. These rules are determined by the FAI and can be viewed on their website.
Please note that there is currently an exemption for Ukrainian nationalities.
The Player was born in the Republic of Ireland or is under 10 years old
- A recent headshot photograph of the player provided when registering
- A copy of the picture page of the player’s passport clearly showing the nationality, place of birth and date of birth.
- If the player does not have a passport, a birth certificate will suffice.
The player was born abroad but moved to Ireland more than 5 years ago
If the player is under 10 years old, see the first set of documentation. If they are over 10 years old, they must provide:
- A recent headshot photograph of the player provided when registering
- A copy of the picture page of the player’s passport clearly showing the nationality, place of birth and date of birth.
- A clear image of the player’s birth certificate
- Documentation indicating the player lived in Ireland at least 5 years ago or since birth (e.g. medical document, school record)
The player was born abroad but moved to Ireland due to the parents’/guardians’ work
- A recent headshot photograph of the player provided when registering
- A copy of the picture page of the player’s passport clearly showing the nationality, place of birth and date of birth.
- A clear image of the player’s birth certificate
- Proof of address (e.g. school letter)
- Player’s Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Passport and proof of nationality
- A letter from the parent’s/guardian’s employment
The player was born abroad but moved to Ireland for humanitarian reasons
- A recent headshot photograph of the player provided when registering
- A copy of the picture page of the player’s passport clearly showing the nationality, place of birth and date of birth.
- A clear image of the player’s birth certificate
- Proof of address (e.g. school letter)
- Player’s Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Passport and proof of nationality
- Proof of refugee status for the player’s parents/guardians
