FAI supports fundraiser for John Giles Foundation

The Football Association of Ireland and John Giles Foundation ‘Freedom of Dublin’ fashion show, would like to announce a special ticketing scheme for clubs around the Barcelona V Celtic match at the Aviva Stadium.

The Foundation will host the event at the City West Hotel on April 7, on a night of fun, fashion and football, which will raise money for the JGF and for the Capuchin Day Centre, which is run to help the homeless.

Anyone purchasing tickets for the Freedom of Dublin fashion show, will be entitled to a right to purchase a ticket for the Barcelona v Celtic match in the Aviva Stadium on July 30, in a match that is sure to be a sellout.

The John Giles Foundation helps to foster positive change within communities by using football as a way to promote health and encourage lifelong participation and learning.

As a way of raising some much-needed funds for the project, as well as the Capuchin Day Centre, which does fantastic work to tackle homelessness, the ‘Freedom of Dublin’ fashion show sponsored by Manhattan  has been set up to take place on April 7 in City West Hotel.

Named in homage to former Republic of Ireland manager and player John Giles and Brother Kevin Crowley from Capuchin Day Centre who both received the Freedom of Dublin in 2015, the fashion show promises to be one of the year’s premier events.

Several high-profile members of the footballing community have already pledged their support to this event, including former Republic of Ireland internationals Ray Houghton, Jason McAteer, and Eamon Dunphy.

The event will see a host of celebrities take part – hosted by Nicky Byrne formerly of Westlife and now star of 2fm.
