On January 23rd, two of our U13 teams visited Glasgow to watch Celtic defeat St. Johnstone 3-1 as well as to play a friendly match against local opposition. A great trip by all reports.

Well what started out as an idea became a reality yesterday when both U13’s teams made their journey to Glasgow to visit Celtic Park. It was an early start for us all and the first port of call was a private tour of Celtic Park before heading to Glasgow Green to play The Celtic Boys 2004 team. Results didn’t matter, the object of the day was fun! It was back to Celtic Pk to meet up with the Kano Foundation who without their help yesterday wouldn’t have happened. The kids then got to meet some of the players after the game.. 😊 There may not have been many Celtic fans prior to yesterday’s trip but I think we may have converted a few
The children were complimented on their eagerness to play football and on their manners.. They represented Balbriggan FC impeccably! A huge thank you to both teams for their help in making this happen and I think it’s one memory that the children will have for a very long time.
